ElmCan Support?

Post by ShadeD1 »

I have an ElmCan II WLAN device ( http://www.wgsoft.de/en/obd-2-interface ... rface.html ) I use with iPhone REV scanner app, does anyone know if it will work with Harry's lap timer?

Hi,

Use the following settings in LapTimer -> Settings -> Expert Settings -> Custom OBD Sensor:

Port "23"
Host "192.168.0.74"

Please let me know if it works, I will add automatic support as soon as I get a positive feedback on this OBD dongle.

It connected just fine, Thanks Harry.
Can't wait to get to MSR Houston this weekend to try it out :)

O.k. thanks. Added a standard profile to v14 to make it available without custom configuration.

Update: I tried this at the track (MSR Houston CW) on 2 occasions. Each time it would work for a couple of laps then crash back to desktop.

Just an update: after analyzing the crash with ShadeD1 it seems it is not related to the ElmCANII.

This device no longer connects to my iPhone as of update iOS 5.1 and/or Harry's Lap Timer 15. It shows it as an available wifi connection and says it is connected. However my connection still indicates I'm using 4G for connection instead of wi-fi and HLT will not recognize it as a sensor. Any ideas?
