Laps not tripping intermittentatly

Post by gremlin »

I'm running the latest version of the iOS version of the software, the one which says in the notes something about a fix when crossing N/S or E/W finish lines sometimes laps won't trip. I think it's possible we're still seeing a variation of this issue. Several times laps would fail to trip while driving, and then trip the next time around. (so I'd get several double length laps) Is there anything that can be done to possible recover the laps given that we should have the GPS Data?

Setup is iOS 12, running on an iPhone 8, Bad Elf GPS, and a Kiwi 3 OBD running in a 1998 e36 M3

Thank you!

In case you see something like this (multi laps in one recording), please export this multi-lap to .hlptrl and send it to me (Harry@gps-laptimer.de). Besides inconsistent data (positions, speed, driving direction), it is certainly always possible somethings needs to be fixed.

you should have the data shortly, along with a description of the laps that I think are suspect. I saw the timer not change during several of the ones where I was driving, and the super long one, where it didn't trip for multiple laps the driver reported over the radio they were seeing this in the car as well.
