I was successful in recording video and laps on my Ipad Pro 9.7 for two days of track events. The laptimer properly triggered my GoPro Hero 3 for each 30 minute session and the lap list recognizes each of the individual laps and that there are multicam videos that need to be linked. The video list properly shows each of the videos recorded directly from the iPad camera.
I was successful in transferring the first GoPro video to the Ipad photos and camera via iCloud. I can see it there and play it from photos and camera.
The problem I have is that the video list does not show the Hero 3 video that is present in the photo/camera app. There are no entries under the MultiCam iCloud, GoPro Hero3, or camera roll. Any suggestions on how to link the video or alternatives other than iCloud to get the video onto the iPad and link it?
Not sure if related. Though I can play the videos recorded directly on the iPad from the lap list play button, if I click on the master video (recorded from the iPad) and then the video image under video details, the following error notice says
Cannot find the video selected, it has probably been moved to another place or it has been deleted. Offline videos need to be transferred and relinked to the smartphone before accessing them. (In this case, I am not selecting an offline video)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you, Art
Imported Multicam not showing in Video list
Re: Imported Multicam not showing in Video list
Not sure videos in Photo's iCloud section are propagated to LapTimer. Please try transfer the video as described in Video Documentation (www.gps-laptimer.de/documentation) - which is using a standard sync or copy using iTunes File Sharing.

Transferring via iTunes using the app file sharing did the trick. Since I am not familiar with iTunes, it took some digging on help pages to figure out how to get the file sharing screen to show up on my desktop iTunes, but all worked well once I did. The following link was the most helpful

You may want to clarify/amplify the use of iTunes for transferring external multicam videos. I read the laptimer documentation from the perspective that I could do it either with icloud or iTunes. You might consider a means for linking or transferring a file that is in the movie or photo app space into the video list.
Love the laptimer app. Next step is to add OBD and GPS.
Thank you

Yes, true. I tested an even better solution yesterday. Apple's Lightning from SD card reader allows you to plug the HERO's SD card into the reader which in turn is plugged into the iPhone. With this configuration, HERO videos are transferred to Photo app and can be Re-Link on site.
Have a look into the Action cam section on http://www.gps-laptimer.de/compatibility/ios for the details.

And no special app is needed either. The photo app usually opens automatically when it's plugged in. One note: You can''t plug a micro-SD card in directly. But a micro- to standard SD card adapter usually comes with a micro-SD card. If you didn't throw it away, you're in business. If you did, they're cheap, less than $5 US.Harry wrote:Yes, true.
