Will HLT continue after locking device?

Post by Detlef »

Hello All,

New to the forum, and I searched for a posting that would answer this seemingly simple question.

I use HLT on my motorcycle, and put the iPhone in my chest pocket inside my leathers. I get the GPS fix from an external bluetooth receiver mounted on the tail.

Is it ok to lock the iPhone before heading out, or do I need to leave HLT running on-screen in order to capture data?

While I'm at it, if I transfer to my Samsung, are the rules for locking the device any different?

Thanks in advance,

Detlef

[Moved to Using LapTimer]

No, sending LapTimer to background or setting the device to sleep will disconnect any sensors and make LapTimer sleep too. You can dim the screen, but need to have the device on while driving.
