Transfer of data failed.

Post by DanG115 »

Hello, I am attempting to transfer my lap data from an iPhone4 to an iPhone5S. Both have Petrolhead v20.0.18. I have tried both export/import and "send trackday to friend". The export/import says successful with 0 laps. The send/receive from friend capability connects, sends laps, counts to 100%, complete, then successfully imported 0 laps, then "Error Transfer failed!" with an X and only option to "OK" Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Please send the exported data (Harry@gps-LapTimer.de) and I will check if I can reproduce the issue.

Thanks for sending the data. There is a data corruption for some of your laps (video links are broken) which generates an invalid file. In case you have access to your old device, please update to the latest LapTimer version and run "Check Data" from Lap List or Administration ‣ Databases. The latest version has a fix for this issue included. Export your laps again afterwards and try again.

Thanks, I initiated the "Check Data" and it now appears to be in a constant mode of checking and re-sorting GPS Data, it cycles up to the total of 94645 and then the app seems to "crash". When I restart the app it restarts the checking and continually repeats this cycle.

Ok. Please follow instructions in viewtopic.php?f=39&t=679 and send the data to me (Harry@gps-laptimer.de). I will fix it and come back.

PS: in case you can identify the backup, please send the set of databases you applied the Check Data on initially.

I followed the instructions in the link and have sent the .pdb files via email.
I'm not sure how to identify the backup to send the set of databases I performed the Check Data on.
Thanks

Should be fixed for the databases you find in your inbox.

Thanks, that imported correctly. Unfortunately I may have sent you the wrong files (have 3 phones on my desk), I apologize for that. The import has all my current information but I expected to find older track times too. I verified I had the correct phone with the corrupted files and sent those to you. Again, I apologize for causing you extra work.
