Speed Calculated or Mesured ?

Can someone explain what is the difference in the app of advance-setting Speed Measured or Calculated ?

Impact on the lap timing ? Impact of the real speed ?

Please search the forum for "Doppler". You will find threads like viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2729&start=10 discussion the difference between "measuring" speed using the Doppler effect or "calculating" speed from GPS positions. The named Expert Setting has been introduced to allow some users to work around issues with measured values and should not be used normally.
