Track Conflicts
Track Conflicts
Hi Harry,
first thank for your great software.
I am using an iPhone 6, and yesterday was on track where we did several exercises, using some part of the track. I created a new track for every exercise we did, and made videos
But at the end, when we could race the whole track, It would record bits after bits, and making a mess.
So to have a full lap, when I overlay, I have to ad several "lap" before and after. Because they are recorded as lap 327, 328, 329, 330, 331, and this makes a lap, but it is complicated to get sorted out, the app lets me ad 4 "laps", and it still not is a complete lap.
Can I delete the "part tracks", and so the video would be less in small parts ?
I tried to find answer for this in the documentation and the forum, but couldn't find it, sorry...
Thanks in advance

Re: Track Conflicts
That's a complicated one...
Next time you run a track day like this, please remove the section track set definitions (not necessarily the "laps", but the POIs) before doing the full lap. For the later, load the predefined track set from Add-ons.
To get a nice overlay for your lap fragments, you may try the following:
In case the lap fragments are grouped in separate track sections, sort them to a common track first.
Next, export this common track (all laps of this track) to VBO. This will generate a VBO file with a continuous stream of lap data.
Next, load the official full track set. In case you get a conflict warning (with your section tracks), allow LapTimer to purge the track sets.
Finally, import the VBO file into LapTimer again. During VBO import, LapTimer will apply the track set again and create a new sequence of full laps.
The first and last lap may be incomplete, because LapTimer requires some fixes before and after a lap to split correctly.
Now, you need to add the video to these laps. Select any lap you can identify in a video, add the lap, and select the end of this lap in the video when asked.
LapTimer will ask if other laps covered should be synced accordingly, agree again.
Now, it is time to overlay your full laps.
Keep my fingers cross.

Re: Track Conflicts
Thank you for your answer !
But it addresses more question:
In case the lap fragments are grouped in separate track sections, sort them to a common track first.
How can I sort them ? How can I move them in the "time list" section ?
Next, export this common track (all laps of this track) to VBO. This will generate a VBO file with a continuous stream of lap data.
Next, load the official full track set
I forgot to mention, the track is not mentioned in your list....
I will try the next steps when I could do the first steps.
If you can point to any existing help, would be fine for me...
Thanks a lot

Re: Track Conflicts
Lap List ‣ each section represents a track, the first row represents the POIs / triggers associated ‣ swipe delete this rowWhere can I remove the section track set definition ?
You need to select each "lap" and change the Track row. It is probably the most labor intensive exercise. How can I sort them ? How can I move them in the "time list" section ?
In this case, you need to define it yourself or provide us with input at Tracks@gps-laptimer.de.I forgot to mention, the track is not mentioned in your list....
For instructions on this (any many other things), please check http://www.gps-laptimer.de/documentation
TRIGGER LOGIC and TRACKS are the papers on custom track definitions. It is easier to do it on site using the LapTimer assistants.

Re: Track Conflicts
Thank you Harry,
I could work it a bit further, now I have laps that are accurate, but can't associate the video. When I go to the video section, it says video is orphan and not associated to a lap and has a red "!"
I had to delete previous association with laps that were not accurate, because importing VBO would add laps....
Is there any solution ?

Re: Track Conflicts
Please start from Lap List to associate videos. Select a lap and press the +VIDEO icon.

Re: Track Conflicts
unfortunately I cannot find the +video button...really strange...
Re: Track Conflicts
Sorry, that's the Android description. For iOS, press Edit in the top right and select the New Video row afterwards...
Re: Track Conflicts
Thank you, I could go one step further, but still a problem: the videos are still in small bits...
