Drag Race: 0-100, 0-200

Post by argonid »

Hello Harry,

I would find it amazing if there is for example a Race mode, where I can set "0-100km/h" or "0-200km/h" or "0-1000m".

Is there any intention of you to do this?

I mean that Laptimer starts to count at launch and counts the seconds till the end of the race mode.

I have now seen that a similar topic is: "100-200 kph".

The post if from 2011. do you think this will be realistic in the next months?

It is on my list but still not scheduled. I have too many items to prioritize for the next release 19.1 - sorry.

I plan to add a small feature in LapTimer v19. It will show the distance from start when using the AX assistant. This means you can use the AX assistant to set up quarter miles (and other distances). It is not super convenient but will at last bridge he time until a complete performance testing engine is added...

There was an app called Dynolicious that doesn't work anymore with the latest iOS (was never updated). It worked quite well except there was no control over the start function. The timing started as soon as the accelerometer detected any movement, and this was very very sensitive. You could set it off by revving, really :D. But something like that would be nice for HLT. It also drew a result graph showing the estimated power. That caluclation was done with a few variables that you had to enter; vehicle curb weight, driver weight, current fuel level etc. Might not be super accurate but its fun :)

Here I do a test with it:

I'm pretty sure I've said this before...you can simply do your 100-200 runs while you manually started HLT. Do as many runs as you like and stop HLT manually. Then export that log to VBO and use Racelogics Performance Tools to scan that file for 100-200 runs, software is available for free:
