How do I end a session? I was able to record sessions and get video, but there was now way to stop the timer, so I didn't get a single lap time. There were three other users at my event that had the same problem with the upgraded version. What am I doing wrong?

Hi,
Starting from the end: assuming everything is set up correctly, you will typically come back from the session with LapTimer still timing the cool down lap. Press Cancel to purge this cool down lap recording. Once this is done, you should see the laps recorded (except the cool down list) in Lap List.
From the beginning: please follow the instructions in LapTimer's Quick Reference to setup and use LapTimer. The most notable items are you need to load the track you are driving (so LapTimer is aware of the start/finish position) and you need to make sure LapTimer has good GPS reception. The later is part of LapTimer's self check showing a red alert in the top of the screen in case anything is wrong.
For v19.0.1 there are no known general issues related to recording.
Maybe you can clarify a bit on how you used LapTimer and what you observed while driving.

P.S. In case you recorded (or tried to) the weekend before the last (9th and 10th of May), you may have run into the issues with 19.0.0 announced here on the forum. This version considered itself not licensed and stopped recording after 3 laps (including a message). Video recordings have been kept for this version, but no data recordings. My previous answer has been on version 19.0.1 available since last Tuesday.

After pressing cancel it showed 0 laps recorded. The video was there, but no lap data. Three other users had the exact same experience.

I assume you were in video view in timer. If cancel deleted all the data, either there was no data because HLT didn't detect that you had crossed the starting line or it never detected a finish and thought all the data was the cool off lap. You can record video in the background and see if the timer starts when you cross the line and stops when you cross it again. Another thing to do if you can is to get near the S/F line and in map view, see if your location is correct wrt the S/F line.
