Hello,
I'm currently having issues with exporting an overliad video in PetrolHead. In the Lap List, each lap has the correct video selected, and the Type says "Overlaid Video." But when I send these videos to the Camera Roll, there is no overlay on the video at all. I've already exported 2 full sessions to the camera roll without the data being overlaid. Now I have two videos on my camera roll that I can't get back into the app.
This is the main reason I bought this app. I wanted to see the times overlaid on my track videos. Otherwise, there's no point in me paying $20. I have an Aim Solo for lap times.
Please help me fix this!
Andrew
Issue with exporting overlay video (iOS)
Re: Issue with exporting overlay video (iOS)
To overlay a lap's data to a video, select the lap from Lap List, scroll down and press the "Overlay" button just below the video preview. If the video displayed in Lap List is qualified as "Overlaid" but actually isn't, you have overridden the video type from Video Details (and ignored the warning to not do it). Change the video type back to "Raw" first to get the "Overlay" button in Lap Details again. Afterwards, start over as written above. Overlaying is triggered by pressing the "Overlay" button. The new video generated is transferred to Camera Roll automatically. Moving a video from LapTimer's data recording area to Camera Roll is actually a simple move (or copy+delete) operation not influencing the video's content. LapTimer can overlay both videos from Camera Roll and from its own data recording area, so this doesn't matter.

Re: Issue with exporting overlay video (iOS)
Harry,
I didn't see that you could "Edit" and delete the no-preview video in the Lap List, and then assign another video.
Awesome!!!!! Thank you!

Yes, the Edit pattern is standard iOS but difficult to catch. My impression is Apple is using it not that much any more.
