I am using Iphone 6 IOS 8.1 with HLT 18.3.6. When I go into a data recording preview, LAPS. Each and everytime, the application abends (shutsdown) and I have to relaunch. I did not see this problem in earlier versions and just stumbled across it as I am at a track weekend and looking for the lap comparisons.
I checked database integrity and it checks out fine.
Data Recording -Preview - Laps
Re: Data Recording -Preview - Laps
Please export all laps for your current track to to .hlptrl and send it to me (Harry@gps-laptimer.de). This is either a general issue with the data constellation, or an iOS8.1 / iPhone6 compatibility issue. As I plan to submit a last bugfix release for 18.3 soon, I'd like to include a fix if necessary.
Thanks, Harry

Re: Data Recording -Preview - Laps
Hi,
Thanks for sending the laps. The problem is an overrun in split times for 5 laps (04:57, 07:46, 05:03, 09:45, 07:21). The overrun occurs, as for these "multi laps" the start / finish line has been missed due to low GPS reception. Although I will add a fix so LapTimer can cope with the resulting 9 sector times (8 splits), you can work around this issue by splitting up the above 5 multi laps as follows:

- Goto Settings ‣ Expert Settings ‣ Trigger Detection and change the Wide Corridor to 100 meters
- Select the above laps one by one and go through steps 3-6:
- Press "Recalculate" and "Validate Lap",
- select "Wide"
- confirm the split into 2 or 3 laps (depends on the individual multi lap),
- confirm the original lap should be deleted (not kept).

Re: Data Recording -Preview - Laps
Harry.
followed the steps you outlined above to the laps specified and still the program shutsdown.

Re: Data Recording -Preview - Laps
Hmm, please go through Lap List and check if there are any laps showing the small bars icon with an even smaller "8" to its right. Fix this laps too. In case it still doesn't work (which would be strange), you may export your laps again and send them again. I plan to submit the fixed version in a few days (plus Apple's review, so add a week until availability).

Re: Data Recording -Preview - Laps
Harry,
When I got your response on 5 Nov, I checked each of the laps in Watkins Glen that were over the normal lap time and revalidated but the when I go into charts the program still shuts down. I figured I would just wait till your next release as you indicated your next version should automatically fix the matter. Fast forward to today, I decided to open HLT for the 1st time since 05Nov, when I did, I got the message that went something like you have 7 databases, 3 unused and do you want to clean-up up. I hit "yes" as I have done in the past.
Right now, all my lap data is gone for the entire year. When I go to apple general setting usage, it says the app has 59.6GB which most likely all the videos I captured on 31 Nov-2 Nov.
As you recall, I did send you my .htprl file for the 31-2Nov and most likely I have an email full copy of the entire DB, I created earlier in the month.
What went wrong? How do I repair?

Hi,
To restore your previous data, please follow the instructions here: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2626
The updated version needed a re-submit and is still in review by Apple.

Re: Data Recording -Preview - Laps
I restored and it worked!! Thanks. I also downloaded 18.3.7 which also fixed laps so now I can see charts. However, I still have 3 laps that seem to be double laps and verify - wide - 100 meters does not work. Is the only solution to delete those laps?
Re: Data Recording -Preview - Laps
So these laps do not come with good data
If 100m doesn't work, it will probably not at all. To get these laps out of the laps report, you need to delete the laps...
