In Lap Timer Settings for Beeps (Turn audio signals (e.g. trigger activities) on and off), should the check-mark box contain a check mark in order to generate a beep? Or should the check-mark box be empty?
In the settings for Speech (Turn speech messages on lap times on and off), should the check-mark box contain a check mark in order to generate a speech message?
I want a beep and a speech message every time I pass the Stop/Go trigger on my hypothetical race track.
Currently, the beep check box is empty; and I get a beep when passing the Stop/Go trigger the first time but not on subsequent laps.
The speech check box is also empty, but I get no speech message at any time.
I am using a Samsung Galaxy S3, Android 4.4.2, Verizon version.
The POI detection is set to normal.
The Stop/Go trigger heading is East 114 degrees.
Are there any other setting I should check in order to generate a beep and a speech message every time I pass the trigger?
Should Lap Timer be restarted after changing settings?

To get the beep / speech output, both ticks need to be set. For speech output it may be necessary to install some language files (depends on the device / manufacturer). Once you have speech enabled, you can test the feature by selecting any lap from Lap List and touch the lap time row in Lap Details.
