Crash on iPad while "after-the-fact" processing of data
Hello,
I'm recording my data with an Android mobile (Petrolhead) and typically sync it with the Grand Prix edition on my iPad via Dropbox.
Now, I noticed an issue. While the postprocessing of the lap data (smoothing, re-calculating accelerations, ...) works fine on the actual Android recording device, the iPad HLT crashes back to homescreen when I try to do the postprocessing with the imported lap.
Any thoughts on this?
I'm not sure whether the crash to homescreen would also occur with data recorded with the iPad (it's only a Wifi version and I don't own a suitable GPS to record lap data).
BR,
Michael

Crashes on iPad are most probably due to main memory shortage. Which iPad gen do you use? Rebooting the device ahead of overlaying, overlaying less laps in a row, reducing resolution, reducing reference and other PiP videos all help to work around.

It's an iPad 3. The crash is not related to overlaying, just the re-calculating (z.B. "Berechnen" --> "Daten glätten" oder "Berechnen" --> "Beschleunigung")

It is a 18.3.3 issue. It will be fixed in 18.3.4

Nice, I been having that problem also with an Ipad 3 AND also with an Ipad air.
For now I do the recalculation on my iPhone eventhough it can be hard b/c it is so sensitive to the finger.
Thanks for the fix Harry!!
Also,
how does under "recalculation", how does pressing "Accuracy" and/or "smooth data" effect "acceleration" adjustments?
I am using an external GPS, so I figure the "accuracy" and "smooth data" is mostly for the raceline dots but not sure.
To verify, with my set up and external gps, the stock lean angle is MEASURED from the iPhone. Then, "accelerations" adjustments will be done by adjusting to the degree choosen "light_______ hard" and based on the GPS info.
My buddies from my South Florida Sport Bikes, who do track are getting more and more interested in your APP!!!
When learn better, plan on submitting a " track set" for our tracks (Homested Miami Speedway, and Palm Beach International Raceway) but set up more for motorcycles; hope to do a great job (these already exist and work great but plan on some touch ups)

Re: Crash on iPad while "after-the-fact" processing of data
Accuracy recalculation should not be used except when recommended. It does not affect acceleration. Smoothing readjusts GPS positions. It can be used in case you find your plot to show noisy positions. Again, you will mostly not use it. It can be applied before recalculating acceleration.
On your tracks - please post on the Tracks forum on this one, but please add some hints what is different for motorbikes.

Everything fine for me, today's 18.3.4 release solved my issue on the iPad as stated by Harry. Thanks for taking care!
