I'm trying to overlay the last lap and a half of my track day. I tried changing the end of lap, but that skewed all of my overlay plots.
Basically what happened is the last lap didn't mark a finish so it's not showing up as an option.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Overlay for a lap and a half?
Re: Overlay for a lap and a half?
LapTimer stores data for full, regular laps only. Video can extend beyond that, e.g. the cool down lap. Sample: you drive a session and let LapTimer record lap. When passing the start/finish going into the cool down lap, LapTimer starts a lap recording - which will not be finished. You leave the track and get back into the pits. Press Cancel now to stop video recording and purge the incomplete cool down lap. When overlaying the last complete lap, you can extent the range generated beyond the start / finish line - because the video includes everything up to the pits (Extro). No data overlaid, but a nice "cool down".

Re: Overlay for a lap and a half?
Excellent, thank you so much for the info.
So more on this, I think I messed up my Video lap times. I have about 10 laps recorded, however I tried to change the timing on the last lap and everything went haywire. Now when I go to overlay the last lap, it says that it doesn't match the rest. On top of that, when I compile it, the overlay is not synced with the video any longer. Is there any way to correct this?
Also, the extro only gives me about 5-20 seconds, is there a way to increase the number to a full cool down lap (approx 2 min)?
Thanks,

Re: Overlay for a lap and a half?
Re-adjust the sync point for one lap and LapTimer should ask you if it should align the whole session. To adjust one sync point, select the lap, follow Preview, scroll to the bottom, and press one of the lap alignments.
The extro range is limited to 20 seconds because I considered it boring to see a video without overlay for too long.

Re: Overlay for a lap and a half?
As an enhancement request I would find it extremely valuable to have the option of keeping any incomplete lap data for review. I recently crashed during a track day and the data collected up to the point of the crash would have been very beneficial to review and learn from my mistake. Did I brake later than normal? Was my line consistent? Was my corner entry speed faster than normal? etc. The data must be there. How difficult would it be to write an incomplete lap, or a really extended and unconventional one (depending on the path of the crash truck)?
Thanks! Love the timer and have been using it for several years now.

Yes, I have that request on my list. Incomplete and manual recordings will go into a separate category / track to keep them separate from valid recordings.derekcb wrote:As an enhancement request I would find it extremely valuable to have the option of keeping any incomplete lap data for review. Re: Overlay for a lap and a half?
Funny, that's the exact reason that I needed it.

Re: Overlay for a lap and a half?
Was the incomplete lap storage implemented? I crashed Monday with my HLT on and would like to investigate my riding. Where can I find the last incomplete lap?
Re: Overlay for a lap and a half?
You can't yet. Videos will record beyond lap boundaries, but data records are "complete lap or nothing" in v19. I plan to have this changed in v20.
