Newbie Saying Hi and Help!

Post by Rardy13 »

Hi there,

I have just purchased the GP app and got myself a Duel XGPS 160 and OBDII reader. All plugs in and works and I used it this weekend on the track but I am having dificulty in knowing exactly how to use the data.

1. I export it and it opens in Google Earth but I can't figure out what to do next?!

2. How do I use the sector splits and recall them? I could see it recording them as I was driving but couldn't recall them after?

If you can help me out or point me in the direction of some reading material that will help me to understand what exactly to do.

This is a fantastic application and I would like to learn how to use this to improve my driving!

Thanks,

Rardy
Cheers,

Rardy

[Moved to Using LapTimer]

Hi,

on #2: select any lap from Lap List and scroll down to the "Results" section. Here you can find your split times. To get a lap by lap comparison of splits, select the "Lap Time" row with the small bar chart icon in the right.

On #1: there are several articles on this forum giving hints on how to use data recordings to improve driving. Unfortunately they are spread across all subforms and are difficult to find. There has been one try to collect everything in viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1214 but it has not collected too much information...

I see how to get the timings between laps now but what do the colours mean? I have blue, red and grey all with a - (minus) sign meaning quicker? Are these the sectors?

Thanks
