Lap time

Post by sappy96 »

Hello,
I use Harry's Lap Timer Premium for Auto X on my LG FLex android. I keep getting lap times that are significantly shorter than the actual lap. The finish of the track is close to another part of the track so they may be the issue with that, but the video has the correct amount of time filmed so I'm not sure why the video would have the correct time and the lap timer itself not. Thank in advance for the help.

Please export one of the laps you consider too short to .kml and send it to me. Export can be found in the lap's Lap Details view / one of the icons in the top right.

Hi,

Thanks for sending. The problem is you have both a stop/go and a stop trigger defined. When returning to the finish line, the stop/go fires and stops the current lap (and start another one). Video continues to cover multiple laps. Please change the stop/go trigger to a go trigger. Once this is done, it will not fire when approach in the finish. Instead, the stop trigger will fire a little later.

It is possible you find very short "laps" in your Lap List. These are the distance from the stop/go to the stop trigger. Adding this lap times to the long ones should give you the correct time for the full distance. However, as the distance is very short, LapTimer has probably ignored these "laps".

Lap List -> scroll to AX track -> select first row showing "User Track Set" or similar, select the Stop/Go trigger, scroll to the Trigger section, change Type. Actually you should have been there when creating the triggers and received a warning the track's Stop and Go triggers are unbalanced? Assistants always create constant pairs.
