Not a track day video but managed to get my hands on a mic. I'm pretty satisfied with the sound quality. This was recorded on my 135is (which admittedly sounds much better than my Z4 track car).

Where is the microphone positioned? In the car?

That sounds as if it was on the rear bumper, near the exhaust.

The problem with GoPro is that the camera auto adjusts volume levels. With loud sounds the camera lowers the volume which makes the end result bad. On your video it doesnt happen and the mic really sounds clear and sharp. How much did you pay for it and where did you get it?

The M3 blocked you for too long, otherwise the P1 would have a hard time :-D

Here's a lap from our club's driving school at Mid America Motorplex a couple of weekends ago. It was my first try at using a neutral density filter on the GoPro-- it's got things looking a little to dark, don't know as I'll do that again...

I've obviously forgotten you to embed a youtube video...

New PC hardware in da house! So now I can actually do some editing outside HLT without having to wait for ages for my PC to render. Here's what I did:
I took both raw videos from HLT and Multicam. Main video with no editing, Multicam video cropped and flipped for the rear view mirror effect and the HLT overlay is actually a blue box video I did on the iPhone and then masked along with the other two videos...yes, I could have done the overlay on the main video directly on the iPhone and only add the rear view mirror video but that would have been to easy and I wouldn't have learned anything. Sound is from the Multicam video. It's not perfect but I'm quite pleased for my first attempt :D
