To get correct gear displays, you need to configure the vehicle's gear and drive ratios, as well as wheel size. LT calculates gears from rpm, speed, ratios, wheel size.

Interesting, I wrongly assumed that was part of the OBD data stream.
Checked, looks like I had the final drive ratio wrong, or it came out of the database that way? Thought LT had most of the specs, VIN was "known".
I updated to 3.89 .

The current gear is not part of the OBD standard and there is no predefined vehicle database available in LapTimer. I tried to get my hands on something like this but all automotive repository providers fail when it comes to a complete and detailed set of gear ratios (and other data that can be configured in LapTimer). So you need to do it your self
