Restoring iPhone from iCloud problem

Post by dawa_bu »

Hi, I have restored my iPhone after some time. When I start it up I select to restore from iCloud backup. When HLT was downloaded I have noticed that it didn't downloaded app data backup (all settings and lap times are away) and additionally it even didn't downloaded petrolhead and grandprix extension which I bought via in-app purchase in my rookie edition.

So now I have rookie edition without any of my data.

(I have to add that this is not the first time i did the restore from iCloud. But every time I get all my data and extensions.)
I still have backup on iCloud... Shall I try to restore it again?

Thank you for help.

Hi,

I have no experience with iCloud backups. At least for the iTunes backups, all app data is backup-ed and restored. Restore will often take longer than you think. The system does part of the process directly and completes the restore in background afterwards. To my knowledge one does not need to do anything on app level to participate or not participate in the backup / restore process.

P.S. As you seem to have started the app already, I'm not sure the second phase will override what has been created by by starting LapTimer... So you may indeed consider running the restore again (and wait). In case that doesn't work, please load your upgrades from within Rookie again. You will not be charged again for the same iTunes ID.
