I'm going to a Chrysler SRT Driving Experience class in a couple of weeks and was thinking of purchasing the LapTimer Rookie
for my Android Samsung S4 cell phone.
My question is there a way to sync the LapTimer recorded data to a video that they will give to me at the end of the day.
I would use the LapTimer's GPS Trigger POIs by utilizing the cell phone internal GPS.
I have a feeling that another version such as, LapTimer Petrol Head Edition is the only version that is capable of doing this?
If so, can I upgrade at a later time to accomplish what I would like to do?
Thanks, Alan
Can I sync video at a later time?
Re: Can I sync video at a later time?
Rookie allows export of all data using CSV - which can be used by several over layer to add telemetry data to any footage. This certainly requires equipment on the desktop side (which is a multiple of a Petrolhead license). Anyway, you can go both routes. LapTimer can be purchased as Rookie or Petrolhead. In addition, you can unlock any Rookie edition to provide Petrolhead functionality later - using In App purchase. Please check http://www.gps-laptimer.de/LapTimer_Products.html for the details.

Re: Can I sync video at a later time?
So if I understand what you are saying is that I would need to use a special desktop PC overlay software and import the LapTimer CSV data file to it, to get the resulting video to show the different gauges, timers, etc displayed on the screen while I'm playing my video?
Would I need to purchase a PC desktop program such as DashWare (Telemetry Data Overlay on Your Videos) to do this? Or, is LapTimer Petrolhead edition able to do it all?
Thanks again- Alan
