Overlay Process quits

Post by ap981cs »

I've searched the forum for hints or solutions to my problem and could not find one.

I'm new to the 'Lap Timer' and recorded a few simple videos using an iPhone 4S, GoPoint BT1 & a Dual 160 GPS to test it out before a track episode. While the video is recording the various data (ie. speed, gear, rpm, etc) are shown on the iphone screen in real time. When I attempt to perform the overlay process the 'Lap Timer' app quits before the overlay completion. I've tried numerous times and each time it quits at a different time mark. No error or fault code(s) are apparent. I have plenty of available iPhone memory (ie.> 10 gb free).

As a newbie am I missing something? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi,

Please check if you include a reference lap pointing to the same video as the lap you overlay. This is a known problem (LapTimer accesses the same video twice) and does not work. To workaround, please uncheck the reference lap switch in Overlay Configuration. This item will be fixed in v18. The only other known issues is that in iOS7, the media server sometimes runs out of memory. Restart the iPhone to reset it.

I hope that helps.

Still no luck. Reference Lap was 'off' and I rebooted the iPhone to capture any 'stray' memory. I'm going to try another test today and carefully make sure everything is set correctly.
