OBDLink LX not connecting?

Post by azzurribaggio »

Hi Guys, I just bought this OBD and tried connect it to Harry's but to no avail.
Harry's Laptimer v24.6.2 PetrolHead edition
When I go to Sensor List--->clock on the "+" symbol at the top I can see the OBDLink LX as an option to choose.
When I choose it I see appear under GPS/GLONASS SENSORS and ENGINE SENSORS.
I can see it says, "Searching...." then momentarily connects then immediately goes to "Not Available"

My end goal is to have my RPM/Gear/Fuel/Temp/ information show up at the bottom right corner when I use Harry's

Hello,

Please try LapTimer ‣ Administration ‣ Settings ‣ Expert Settings ‣ Accessory Tweaks / Force Insecure BT Connection. In case this fails too, please head to viewtopic.php?f=39&t=1500 and create a log as described.

Ok so I was able to get this much to appear, how do I get the HP/Fuel/Battery level gauges to show up as well?

BTW I'm getting the OBDLink MX+ sometime today

The extra gauges are a GrandPrix feature. In case you want it to be added see LapTimer (Petrolhead) ‣ Administration ‣ Add-ons ‣ GrandPrix Upgrade. Is the OBD working now, do you get a proper update rate in e.g. Engine View or Sensor List? Should be 6 Hz or more.

I did also notice this message, the update rate is too slow?

This means the OBD communication does not work properly. Please follow instructions in viewtopic.php?f=39&t=1500 to troubleshoot that.

Ok just plugged in the OBDLink MX+ along with Grand Prix edition.

The HP/Fuel/temp gauges now show up but wondering why the gauge displays have no numbers and other stuff?

The update rate still looks like I need to tweak it

The sector colors will appear once you have entered your vehicle’s details like max torque rpm, max power rpm, max rpm.

Please keep in mind that displays may be incomplete or wrong as long as the OBD connection isn’t stable. Please concentrate on this for now.

The gears now show up, BUT the Fuel and Temp are still not appearing in the gauge. I've filled gas tank capacity within the vehicle details. Not sure where I need to fill out the temperature information for that to appear?
I was able to get the ODB connection to go green with the adaptive setting to optimized once I drove around

Great. Please select the LX sensor in Sensor List and display Sensor Information. This will give you a list of OBD parameters pulled currently. Post a screen-shot here. Fuel level is not propagated by many OBD gateways, but one of coolant or oil temperature should be available almost always.
