I have a few questions regarding the app. I run it with the Emprum external GPS and PLX Kiwi Wifi.
1. How to unzip the KML.gz file, can't seem to find the proper program
2. Under Lap details and data recording there is a Recalculate button. When should this be used if it even should?
3.Below is a picture,
a. What does the ABC & 123 do?
b. What do the three different optiones below "Show Fixes" do?
c. When exported does it export all three or just the current option selected?

Re: Help understanding a few things
Hi,
- It is the GNU zip program (gzip/gunzip)
- There are two recalculation provided: 1) is calculating lateral and lineal acceleration - you can use this if your acceleration sensor has not been correctly calibrated while driving; please note, this 'calculated' acceleration values replace the measured values and work fine for 1Hz GPS recordings; at higher sampling rates, it does not work too well (too much noise / error effects) 2) should not be used without recommendation from my side
- a) the sliders control at which zoom level POI labels (ABC) appear in the data recording map; the 123 slider is the same for min/max speeds b) just try - the first one selects display of lateral acceleration, the second displays lineal acceleration, the last one shows accuracy bubbles denoting the area the individual fixes are supposed to be in reality (GPS error) c) the selection of the above three has an effect on PDF export only

If you are on Windows 7zip is your friend:devildog1679 wrote:1. How to unzip the KML.gz file, can't seem to find the proper program
