Moving video files to Harry's video location

Post by Brian Sullivan »

I tried a post earlier on this subject but I guess it didn't get approved. Gonna try one more time.

I was looking for a way to transfer externally created video files into Harry's movie directory on Android. Couldn't find a way natively at least on Android 7 Nougat. All the file transfer programs I tried didn't seem to support this kind of operation.

Anyway, I found a solution and thought others might be having the same problem. The solution was hooking up the phone to the USB port of a PC, allowing and using Windows File Explorer -- it seems to give you full access to the Android file system and copied with no problem (using standard copy, cut/paste or move functions of File Explorer).

Not sure about iOS and Apple Mac issues -- but a solution similar to this might work there as well.
