Hi there,

from time to time it happens that the camera Wifi connection is lost for some time and then comes back on. I experienced this for two main reasons: camera turns off because of low battery and loose charger cable or camera gets turned on only on lap 2 (after session start) because it was forgotten to turn the camera back on in the pit lane (I can reach the camera while driving)...

In these situations there seems to be an auto-reconnect missing reconnecting the external camera for the currently running session. I always have to fiddle with the camera button on the lower left corner and reselect the tiny "external" button in the popup dialog. This is quite tedious with gloves on and being on track.

Any chance to consider an auto-reconnect?

Camera in my case is a VIRB 30 Ultra.

Hello,

Does the cam connect after you switch the cam source in Video Configuration? Or do you need to reconnect to the WiFi? In case the WiFi disconnects, an app has no option to reestablish it. This is powers reserved to the user and the OS.

Wifi is connected. I tested it at home by manually switching the iPhone over to the camera's network. The session is not recognizing the camera. Not even after considerable time.

My test:
- switch on camera and connect iPhone to the camera Wifi
- start HLT session
- switch off camera
- wait until HLT camera symbol shows red cross
- switch on camera and connect iPhone to the camera Wifi
- wait...
