After my hero 3+ broke ( it worked wonderfully) I bought a new Hero 2018. I cannot seem to delete the hero 3 from my sensor list, and the new Hero appears under GPS and OBD sensors, but I cannot connect as either External or internal/external operations. Any suggestions?

You have added your HERO as a GPS / OBD sensor. Remove it (long press + delete) and forget the compete Bluetooth handling for LapTimer - it uses WiFi only to control action cams. Next, make sure you select HERO 2018 as external cam type in LapTimer‘s Settings.
