Changing Overaid Video resolution?

Post by VinnyG »

Android Phone S7, Petrolhead edition, using phone camera.

Track videos look fine (set at HD res); however, after I overlay data the overlaid video looks like it is lower resolution. Not much, but enough to be noticeable with some pixilation. Is there a setting to change this? Is there a separate resolution setting for overlaying data on the video.

Video resolution is never changed. As LapTimer uses a default bitrate provided by individuell Android phones, high compression may occur which in turn generates artifacts in overlaid videos. You can either set a higher bitrate in LapTimer Expert Settings (Video Tweaks), or switch to Software based encoding. The later will generate pretty big videos and take time to generate, but quality is great.
