NK: Alert On Track

Post by makarr »

Recently on on of my overlayed videos, I noticed a brief message "NK: Alert On Track" that popped up. I am curious what this means? I don't see any references to this message anywhere.

You can find some information on this in the legacy documentation on LapTimer’s Online support (see www.gps-laptimer.de/documentation).

But in short: LapTimer has a yellow flag system built in. A user spotting a crash or other problem in a certain position on track can issue a yellow flag alarm by pressing the Alert button in Timer View.

Any other User approaching this position afterwards, will get a yellow flag warning. In your case, the user with ID NK issued the alert.

Yellow flags are removed after a certain time automatically. You can choose to dismiss it permanently by pressing the top right button too.

Harry- is there a way to disable the yellow flag alert? When I get an alert, it tends to mess up my lap times if the alert hits near a section marker.

Two options:

#1 opt out from online services altogether by disconnecting from the Local Track Community group (LapTimer ‣ Friends ‣ Groups).
#2 once back in the pits, reevaluate split positions: Lap List ‣ your lap ‣ Recalculate ‣ Splits.
