syncing multiple gopro videos

Since gopro breaks races into multiple videos (usually 2) is it better to combine these first before overlaying or overlay them separately and then combining? I'm seeing issues with both - when I combine into one video the timing seems to drift; when doing separately it's a pain to relink the separate videos. Thanks!

Hi,

Usually concatenating the segments front up is the way to go. GoPros cut longer videos into 4GB segments. There should be no frame be lost, so you should not see a drift from video 1 to video 2. In case it is a general drift, please adjust the sync point.

Any issues with changing resolution when combining video pieces?

No, as long as combined timestamps are preserved and you are using a supported format, you can down sample / reduce resolution or even change frame rate using some video editor.
