Go Pro Hero 4 BE with Petrolhead

Post by carsey »

Hi

I bought the petrol head lap timer edition on the basis that it supported video as I wanted to do a video overlay of my track time throughout the summer.
I have just bought a Go Pro Hero 4 Black edition and understood that it would work with the app with it being listed.

However, when trying to pair them up, its asking me to upgrade to the Grand Prix version to use a external cam only. (not multicam)

Is it right that only the Grand Prix version supports Go Pro cameras?

Only GP supports remote controlling action cams. You can use Petrolhead nevertheless by recording video manually and transferring and adding it to LapTimer laps manually later. The process is described in Video Documentation available from www.gps-laptimer.de/documentation.
