Perhaps it might be an option to use the apple airdrop facility.
If the app could export the data to the iPhone's desktop as a file, woyld it not be possible to airdrop that file to the iPad?
Analysing Laps from iPhone in iPad
Re: Analysing Laps from iPhone in iPad
To my knowledge Airdrop uses the same underlying technology stack. I see many reports on issues with it too. I tend to go for some platform independent approach like a Bluetooth Low Energy layer available for both iOS and Android (at least newer devices).

Airdrop. But it will not be able to access data within LapTimer's sandbox. LapTimer itself needs to initiate the sending.

Re: Analysing Laps from iPhone in iPad
My question is similar to but slightly different. I have a Grand Prix edition on my iPad and my iPhone. I can do D2D transfer of the data via wiFi but none of the video gets transferred. Am I missing something?
Re: Analysing Laps from iPhone in iPad
Video transfer is cumbersome using WiFi with smartphone. It is not supported by LapTimer directly. You can certainly transfer the videos using a different tool and relink the video transferred to data transferred by LapTimer.
