Power and torque always calculated

Post by bulls23 »

Love the momentary power display in the overlay and wondered if it's always the calculated value from MAF or if it's somehow limited / based on the values entered in car details. I'm asking because I'm interested to know if I would see the power rising in HLT if I change stuff on my car or if the value will always max out at the entered value in car details. I'm not looking for an exact dyno - measurement, just wondering if power improvement would show up in HLT.

Well spotted ;-) In video overlay, values are normalized to the Vehicle Details specs.
Power and torque calculations shown in Engine View on the other hand are not normalized and will allow you to do some before / after comparisons.

But please keep in mind all of these are approximations using an extremely simplified model of a real world engine.
