Is Laptimer compatible with HONDATA?

Post by chneo1982 »

Hi Harry,

A lot of honda cars are using Hondata ECU management.

Recently they have upgraded their product (Flashpro) to include bluetooth function.

See link:
http://www.hondata.com/flashpro.html

This Flashpro unit is a direct plug in to the OBD2 port.

Is Laptimer compatible with the Hondata Flashpro?

Please advise.

Hi,

Currently, the dongles are not supported. I plan to provide a sensor plug in framework later this year. It will allow 3rd parties to add support for non-standardized sensors.

Hi Harry,

Any updates on this? I've just purchased a FlashPro unit and would love to get it to work with LapTimer.

Thanks!

No progress here (except the model is getting clearer in my head). I can't commit on the further timeline yet, but it is still in scope.

Yes, Im interested too. There is a specification about hondata flashpro BLE module: https://www.hondata.com/downloads/Bluetooth.pdf
I'm trying to setup custom BLE OBD but without success. Its BLE Elm327.
Can you help us Harry to setup this? I would like to use this because its also logging my car's details for future analysis and would like to have that data on video too :)

BUMP! Bluetooth support for Hondata must be so simple! Why can't we make this happen? You'd have thousands of new users of OBD1 cars running Hondata.
