OBD data not showing in my videos

I have the Grand Prix edition of the app and am using the Multi Cam mode, connected to a Go Pro 7 via Wi-Fi and a VeePeak OBD adapter connected via bluetooth. The VeePeak connects to the app and I can see the RPM and other data update while in the engine mode view. However, when I record a lap using only the Go Pro as the video source, the OBD information is missing from my videos. The OBD data only shows when I do PIP or only use my phones camera. Is there way to get the OBD data to sync up when I am filming with my go pro?
