iPhone 8+/iOS 12.2 Camera Settings

Post by Jwod1993 »

Hi all,

I am new to the app. All I can say is wow - unbelievable amount of attainable data in here. I recently purchased the Grand Prix edition. I was wondering if there are recommended camera settings for the iPhone 8+? I recently used this app with the Ram X Grip mount. The mount itself is phenomenal, keeping the phone extremely steady. However, it seems like the phone resolution is confused. The phone itself hardly moves but the stability at high speeds of the camera is not great.

What are the recommended camera settings on the iPhone/app?

Thanks!

You are probably reference to the wobbling effect when using modern smartphones in cars? This is from engine vibrations - the optical image stabilization (which is a moving lense) is generating this. We have no good work around currently, options are:

1) use the front cam
2) place a small magnet near the cam (fixing the movement)
3) use an action cam

None of these is without downsides (like potential damage for #2), so there is not really an easy solution.
