Throttle for e46 M3 with Kiwi3

Post by uberchris »

I am really enjoying laptimer so far! My first event went well and I got some great videos (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZsTpRToCLCc).

I am trying to get throttle to work over OBD. When I open the Engine panel, it just shows a dash for throttle. I am sure this data is available, because the OBDFusion app displays it (listed as "Absolute Throttle Position"). I am connected using the ISO 9141-2 protocol.

In the expert settings, I have tried every option for Throttle PID. I have also tried adding custom PIDs $01$47 and $01$48 as those are listed as the absolute throttle position pids (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OBD-II_PIDs).

I am using HLT 22.1.4, iPhone 6s, Kiwi3, and XGPS150a on a 2005 BMW M3.

For some reason, the only Throttle PID $01$11 is not used. Please check if you have changed the throttle Expert Settings to something different than Standard (which is $01$11).
