How do I test the GPS.

Help on issues you run into with LapTimer; in case you have a question on how to use LapTimer, use the forum "Using LapTimer" instead

How do I test the GPS.

Post by probell »

I do not think I am getting a GPS signal. The bars stay yellow and do not change. When I go to the satellites page I get no supported NMEA device connected?

I am thinking this is why the unit did not work at the track, Randy

Hi Randy,

Please let me know which configuration you run? iPhone model, optional external GPS etc.

I have a iPhone 4s. I am not using any thing with it. I do not think the GPS is working even when I am trying outside the car. Thanks for your help. Randy

Please make sure you have the Location Service turn on. This is done in the Settings app. Make sure both the Location Service and in general and access for LapTimer is turned on. You may need to restart Laptimer after having changed that.

Outside, and looking into the GPS View, you should see a small blue circle blinking in the top left Satellites Gadget. Approximately once a second.
