Laptimer GrandPrix 21.2 Android
Samsung Galaxy S9+
Android 8.0.0 - June 1, 2018 patch level

XGPS160-45992D
Kiwi 3
Internal Camera

Ran five lap sessions yesterday using Thunderhill Bypass track. 4 of 5 sessions experienced an issue recording video after approx 45 seconds. One session (4) ran to completion. Session 5 successfully recording data from track.

An earlier track day (mid June 2018) had error free recording of all sessions.

I have also been unsuccessful getting the internal Accelerometers working. (SM-G965U)

Please advise on any debugging info I can provide.

Missing acceleration is a known issue when using external GPS sensors for LapTimer v21 Android. It will be fixed for v22. You can add calculated acceleration by selecting Lap List / the lap with missing acceleration / Data Recordings / Recalculate / Acceleration.

The video cut can be either a problem with the S9, or an issue with the Kiwi connection: in case data recording continues after 45 seconds, please reboot the device and make sure you have plenty of free memory. In case both video and data stop after 45 seconds, the Kiwi probably reports zero speed (or is not updating any more). LapTimer will consider this a "stand still" and stop recording after some time.

Seems like memory issue as, at least for last session, data recording continued. I am using the secondary flash card as file target for videos; it is a high end SANDisk Ultra (400 gb). If this might be causing additional buffering of video data in RAM I could switch to internal storage and then manually move files.

Presumably, reducing video resolution would reduce memory footprint required by HLT.

I will try rebooting before every track session to assure system is decrufted.
