IOS vs Android

Post by seba76 »

Hi Harry,

As you have biggest experience in this. Could you please provide your opinion:

For Harrys Laptimer - what is better Android or IOS.

So far I'm using IOS but have to change phone and thinking on Android :)

I think at least is easier to relink videos or add videos on Android device - where on IOS is almost impossible.

Hi,

For LapTimer, iOS has slightly better support compared to Android. A specific area is that iOS provides by far more consistent media handling and is pretty homogeneous across devices. As a result overlays are generated by a factor 20 faster for comparable hardware. Android is cluttered with manufacturer gimmicks, incompatibilities, and dated OS version support. Things that make it very hard for developers to provide the same convenience and functionality iOS provides.

Re-Linking for iOS and Android is different because the OSes allow different ways to transfer and store videos.
Saying it is "almost impossible" to accomplish Re-Linking for the iOS version makes me think you should ask for some specific assistance? What exactly is the problem?
