Not getting throttle and RPM info in video

Post by rbpeirce »

Do I need to turn something on?

I have a Kiwi3 and HLT indicated everything was green but the exported video does not show throttle and RPM. All the videos I've made in the past showed this. I'm assuming the data is there but it is not on the video. Shouldn't it appear automatically?

I assume the data is missing - e.g. a disconnect. Please open the lap overlaid from Lap List, scroll down to the Data Recordings section and check the Fix types shown in the "Fixes" row. It will show GPS, ACCEL, OBD or just GPS, ACCEL.

I discovered the Kiwi3 was not being recognized and I was unable to fix that. Following Kiwi troubleshooting I downloaded OBD Auto Doctor and after a little fiddling got it to connect. After that HLT again recognized it. No I idea why it stopped or why it started again!!

Before I head out on track, I have a number of things I check in Laptimer before going into TIMER... one of the things I do is go to the SENSOR LIST display and scroll through to check that my GPS, OBD and external cams are connected and the update rates are as expected.

I have an LG G3 Android phone, SkyPro XGPS160 and an OBDlinkMX... I find that Laptimer takes between 45 to 60 seconds to connect all the devices after it is launched, so be patient at first. After a minute, all should be connected.
