Can't connect to RaceCapture in Client mode

Post by macdude357 »

I setup my RaceCapture to connect to the Wifi Network on my GoPro and my iPhone is also connected to that network; however, HLT doesn't "see" the RaceCapture device. If use the RaceCapture's wifi network, HLT will connect. I imagine that the issue is the IP address HLT is expecting since the IP addresses are totally different when using GoPro vs. RaceCapture wifi. Any way to let me configure the IP address of the RaceCapture so HLT can connect?

LapTimer discovers the RC device on whichever IP address it is available (there is a discovery mechanism built in). The problem when connecting more than one device to a HERO network is, that IP packages are not forwarded by the "HERO router". So this scenario will not work.
