Is 3Hz with OBDLink LX BT and 2005 Boxster normal?

Help on issues you run into with LapTimer; in case you have a question on how to use LapTimer, use the forum "Using LapTimer" instead

Is 3Hz with OBDLink LX BT and 2005 Boxster normal?

Post by KevinGre »

Last weekend I used Harry's for first time at a track event (Oregon Raceway Park). I'm using a OBDLink LX Bluetooth, a Dual XGPS 160, an Android Motorola (Moto G 3rd edition) and am driving a stock 2005 Porsche Boxster (987). It worked great but the throttle position, RPM and speed are a very slow 3Hz. Is that normal with this equipment? Should I expect a higher rate? It makes for some pretty choppy overlays.

Your 2005 Boxster has no CAN bus, 2 or 3 Hz (i.e. 10 to 15 PIDs/s) is what you can expect.
