[Video Export] Colors appear slightly shifted

Post by planetshg »

Dear Harry, all,

whenever I export a video using hardware video encoding, the output's colors seem slightly shifted into the yellowish/greenish range, as well as have their contrast ramped up.

This does not occur when using software video encoding - which, however, is fairly slow.

I am using a OnePlus Three, running stock OxygenOS 4.1.3 (Android 7.1.1).
Maybe this results from OnePlus' implementation of some relevant Android classes.

Do you have any idea, how to retain colors/contrast/etc while using hardware encoding?

Cheers,
Philipp

Overlaying converts the cam's color scheme to RGB and back when creating the overlaid video. It is possible this mapping is different for hardware and software methods. Mappings are not adjustable.
