[SOLVED] Accumulated time gap issue

The data from my first use of laptimer seems to be good, but the accumulated time gap plot in the results view is way off. It starts out at zero in all the laps, but jumps to about -20 seconds a few seconds after the start, remains around that level until about 2/3 through the 48 second autocross run, and then drops back towards zero at the end. The 5 runs vary by less than 3.5 seconds elapsed time, so I don't see how it's possible for the time gap to be almost 10 times that. The behavior is similar on all 4 of the runs (obviously the reference lap has zero accumulated time gap by definition).

Is this a bug, or did I do something wrong?

Please export both the reference lap and the lap you watch. Use the .hlptrl format. Please send it to me and I'll check.

Turns out the issue was the fact that the autocross course in question had overlaping segments (a loop driven twice). The algorithm used to compute the accumulated time gap is not designed to accommodate this possibility. Since this is an unusual occurrence, it's not a big deal.
