Focus lock not working on video recording

Help on issues you run into with LapTimer; in case you have a question on how to use LapTimer, use the forum "Using LapTimer" instead

Re: Focus lock not working on video recording

Did IOS 8 fix this issue? I have a 5S and am having the same issues.

I have the RAM mount and use it as suggested above with the suction cup at the top of the windshield and the arm oriented vertically down. It is the double ball version rather than the ratchet version. It does allow vibration which is part of the issue. Also, my windshield has some pitting so its impossible to make it perfectly clean.

Thanks

iOS8 treats settings like the autofocus lock as a hint just like iOS7.

I also have this issue on a 5s on iOS8.

Anyone try this out on iOS9 yet? Any improvement?
