Autocross mode starts timing at finish line
Autocross mode starts timing at finish line
[*]I'm trying to use laptimer in autocross mode on android Samsung gs3 running paranoid android 4.3. I define the starting line as a rolling start, define the ending line, then drive through the start point. The timer doesn't start when I cross the start line but does start at the end point though and will roll until I cross the end point again. I was trying in a parking lot and I defined the poi well apart. Tried a couple times to make sure it wasn't a fluke using different poi and chose the purge option in between.
Also would like to express support for the full android versions and will purchase the gran Prix version when available.

Please select the POIs&Triggers row for your autocross, scroll to the bottom, and select certify. Add a comment "please check AX triggers" and send the mail to me. Thx.
Petrolhead for Android is worked on already and is planed for March.

I sent the file by email, not sure if you've had a chance to take a look just curious. Thanks.

It seemed like it emailed. I'll attach it here if possible or send me another email. Thanks Harry

Are you able to pull my file down? Thanks
Re: Autocross mode starts timing at finish line
Sorry, took me a little longer - to much to do this week...
The POI set has both a start and a stop trigger - that's fine. Problem is they are both in the same position - which is a bug I have most probably introduced with the last update. Sorry for the inconvenience, I will submit a bugfix release soon.

Re: Autocross mode starts timing at finish line
That worked great thanks!
I also noticed that sometimes when marking the start and end for autocross that if the phone sleeps before I get to the stop point it may lose the start point. When it does this it shows the initial 'accept/contact' page that you get when initially launching the app.
I can report that the android app works well with the garmin Glo. I borrowed one and it says it does 12 hz.
Thanks Harry

Re: Autocross mode starts timing at finish line
I have the same 2 issues, same phone and android version, easily repeatable.
I also see a problem with file naming.
If I set a start POI, rename with a new name instead of the automatic name, walk to the finish line (screen is locked) and try to set the finish POI it has switched to the default name file.

Re: Autocross mode starts timing at finish line
I have added this to the list for fixing. The assistant stores the POIs when the overall process is finished. So in case it is closed too early or the screen is going to sleep, it actually starts from the beginning and loses start trigger position and track name. As a work around, please rename track, set the start trigger and walk a short distance to a dummy finish position. Finish the process here. Now, walk to the real finishing line and bring up LapTimer's Map View. Zoom as appropriate and drag the dummy finish trigger to the current position and you are done.
