Hi,

I have the petrol head edition on my iphone, I downloaded the app-store purchased rookie edition on my ipad but it won't apply the petrol head edition to my ipad version

Just go through the InApp purchase on your iPad. Apple will not charge you a second time when using the same iTunesID.
