Firmware 2.11.0 allows CAN channels on the RaceCapture/Track without Lua scripting. Will HLT be able to see that data once I can configure a CAN channel correctly? The update rate with CAN should be much faster than for OBDII, even with parallel requests.

Yes, LapTimer reads the channels listed in viewtopic.php?f=39&t=4244
The source (direct CAN, analog / digits / OBD) is not relevant, so you should be able to benefit from faster CAN.

It worked for RPM after I remembered to turn on CAN channels on the device. I'm hoping to replace all the frequent OBDII requests with CAN channels.

I've emailed the hlptrlz file from today's autocross. As you can see, the heading data has a huge range, up to 6553.5 degrees.

No rush. You should see what it does to the dynamic map when viewing a video. it spins like a top.

If it helps any, I don't think it's smoothing. It appears to go bad when the heading decreases below zero. It should go to 360. Instead it goes to above 6500. Needless to say, it takes a second or two to recover from that. There's also still a problem with duplicate lines.

Do you have the Wi-Fi module? It won't work with HLT over Bluetooth. You also can't control a GoPro at the same time.

What firmware version do you have? The latest is 2.11.0 You also have to be sure you download the correct firmware for your device and you need a PC to load it. Mac's don't seem to work.

My RaceCapture/Track with 2.11.0 worked just fine, other than the direction data in HLT, at an autocross last weekend.
