Silverstone GP Circuit POI

Hi Harry, I can certainly have a go I wasn't aware it was something I could alter? Something I will need to read up on I guess, in the Trainer?

There is documentation on "Tracks" available on www.gps-laptimer.de

Just drag the POIs to the right position in the Map view. Goto Lap List afterwards and select Silverstone's POIs. Press Certify to send the altered track set.

Please make sure you set the right positions, your peers depend on it :-)

Hi Harry, The map being used by Lap timer is not upto date and isn't showing the recent developments @ Slverstone, buildings etc.
i have spent some time playing around with Google maps and believe to have got the Lat and Long details, i just cant seem to fill the details out correctly with in Lap timer?

For Silversone GP Circuit, do these look correct?

Why don't you use the Maps View in LT? Using it, you do not need to work with the different polar coordinate notations. Cant check the data currently, I have a limited connection.

Silverstone GP Circuit POI

Hi, I'm trying to get it as accurate as possible.
I guess I'm making a meal of it but the only map I have found (Map, Satellite, Hybrid) is out dated and I'm not able to drag the start finish to the correct place accurately enough.

Do you have an opportunity to define this on site? The GPS view allows storing the current position as trigger. Question is, if the current approach is accurate enough to add it to the tracks database?

Hi Harry Afraid not, im surprised no one else has mentioned this before either, Start/Finish line @ Silverstone.
All i have is my data and video from a track session there.

Watching an F1 race on you tube i can see a red and white line which is used by the F1 boys now days for the start/finish, this can be seen on google maps image as well, i simply got the Lat and Long cordinates for this red and white line but was unable to make it fit into the start/finish trigger point with in LT.

Betsy, (Heavens to!)
post up the coordinates you have and I'll see if I can relate it to the track.
The Google Sat view doesn't show the new 'Wing' at Silerstone so it's difficult to place by eye, all I know that it's now between Club and Abbey.
We could just drop it anywhere in there, but we want to get it correct so that it's not changed again in future!
