GPS Recording too short

Post by Robert »

Hi Harry,

thanks for coding these fantastic apps!
Unfortunately I have some troubles when exporting (even recording) speed runs. The "max speed" value is always too low, e.g. 180kph when running 100-200. Although there is a time for 100-200 inside the app which seems to be in the correct range, the recordings seem to end too soon.
Other values are: max speed ~115 when running 80-120 or ~80kph when running 0-100. The same issue occurs when scanning the .vbo files with dbscanner.
I'm using the XGPS160 and some Tonwon Bluetooth OBDII dongle.
Any suggestions? Would be great!

Regards,
Robert

Sounds strange. Please export one recording and send it to me (Harry@gps-laptimer.de). Add a note so I understand the context.

It looks like the data sent is correct. Whenever an OBD adapter is connected, LapTimer will use wheel speed. GPS speeds are displayed in several areas and may be misleading. They will show lower values compared to OBD mostly.
